Support the Green Bill to Amend the Crown Lands and Forest Act

The Government of New Brunswick has to stop the spraying of glyphosate on Crown Land Forests.

David Coon introduced a bill to amend the Crown Lands and Forest Act in the Legislative Assembly on November 20, 2019. This bill will ensure that private woodlot owners’ wood be purchased through the wood marketing boards and ensuring that private wood makes up a third of the wood consumed by the mills.

This bill will also ban the aerial spraying of glyphosate on Crown land forests eliminating the risks it poses to ecosystems and species in our forests and waterways.

We want to see private woodlot owners be able to make a living and to be able to have a competitive edge against industry giants.

We are supporting local producers. We support healthy forestry practices.
